“When words become unclear, I shall focus with photographs. When images become inadequate, I shall be content with silence.”  (Ansel Adams)
Have you ever heard of Wordless Wednesdays?  Wiki Answers says, “On Wednesdays all over the internet, bloggers post a photograph with no words to explain it on their blog. Hence the ‘wordless’ title. The idea is that the photo itself says so much that it doesn’t need any description.”
I make no claims of being a photographer, but I am a photograph devotee. Â The old saying of a picture being worth a thousand words carries a lot of weight in my opinion. Â I am rather keen on taking photos and have occasionally been fortunate enough to capture something nifty on film (or these days, digitally.)
So stay tuned. Â Starting this week, I’m jumping on the bandwagon. Â I’ll include something that could be regarded as a photograph title in the post headline, and the caption with the photo will be only a location and a date notation. Â (You’ll need to click on the photo to see that info, which will help keep the original post more “wordless” to please the purists.)
Some photos will be old and scanned in, and some will be more recent from digital cameras. Â I’m not promising a theme, rhyme or reason behind what I choose. Â Even though it will be Wordless Wednesday for me, I’m hoping anyone who stops by to look at the photos will have some words to share.
